DocTranslate Privacy Policy

DocTranslate is built to keep your documents on your device. This policy explains what leaves your device, when, and why.
Documents stay on your device
- Scans, imported files, recognized text, translations and exports are stored only in the app’s private storage on your device and are not included in cloud backups.
- Scanning, on-device text recognition, PDF tools, the layout editor and exporting never contact our servers.
What is sent, and only when you ask

Before page images are uploaded, the app asks for your permission. All connections use encryption (HTTPS).
No account, no tracking
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier or contacts, and we do not fingerprint your device.
- The app uses a random installation token to count free and subscription operations. Our server stores only a keyed hash of it.
- We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell it.
- We never put document content in logs or crash reports.
Service providers
Supabase (hosting of our server and database), Anthropic (AI translation), Google Cloud (optional cloud text recognition), Apple and Google (purchase verification). They process data only to provide these functions.
Your choices and deletion
- Profile → Delete all local data removes every document and export from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes them.
- Our server holds no document content. To delete your installation and usage records, contact us.
- Subscriptions are managed by your App Store or Google Play account.
Children
DocTranslate is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
