SmartCalc Pro – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026 · Publisher: WebbingStone (webbingstone.com)
Summary. SmartCalc Pro does not require an account, and WebbingStone does not collect any personal data from the app — no name, contacts, location, photos or files. Apart from the exchange-rate download (which sends only a currency code), the only data that leaves your device is what Google’s ad service needs to show ads (see Advertising), and the free version’s ads can be removed with a one-time purchase. It is available for Android (Google Play) and iPhone/iPad (App Store). The numbers you type and your results never leave your device.
Data stored on your device. Settings, favourites, calculation history, saved projects and cached exchange rates are stored locally on your device. Calculation history is excluded from cloud backup. You can clear history at any time, or turn it off, in Settings.
Internet use. The currency converter downloads reference exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API (exchangerate-api.com). The request contains only a base currency code (for example “USD”), never the amounts you enter. The provider may receive your IP address as part of any normal web request.
Advertising. The free version displays ads from Google AdMob. This is the only third-party service in the app that receives data, and it is used only to show and measure ads. AdMob may use device identifiers (on Android, the advertising ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interaction and diagnostic data to show and measure ads. This data is not linked to your identity. On iPhone and iPad the app does not ask for tracking permission, so Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used and ads are not personalised across other companies’ apps. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent first using Google’s User Messaging Platform, and you can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics. The app contains no analytics SDK.
Purchases. The one-time “Remove ads” purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we do not receive your payment details.
Permissions. Internet and network state only (Android). The iPhone/iPad version asks for no permissions. No location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or storage permissions on either platform.
Children. The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes. We will update this page and the “Last updated” date if this policy changes.
