Daily Life – Support

Daily Life – Time Tracker answers “where did my day go?”. It records the places you visit, how you travel between them, and your steps, workouts and sleep, and turns them into a 24-hour timeline — privately, on your phone.

Getting started

  1. Open the app and allow Location, then Always / Allow all the time, so your day is recorded while the app is closed.
  2. Allow Motion & Fitness (iPhone) or Physical activity (Android) so walking, cycling and driving can be told apart.
  3. Optionally connect Apple Health or Health Connect for steps, workouts and sleep.
  4. Tap Start recording my day and carry your phone as usual. Your first timeline appears within a few hours.

Common questions

How do I name a place (Home, Work, Gym)?
Tap the place on the Timeline or in Today’s places, choose Name it or Mark as, and pick a category. Past and future visits there are counted under that name.

The same place shows up twice.
Open Places, pick one of them and choose Combine with…. Both spots then count as one place.

There are “Unknown” gaps in my day.
Tap the gap to say where you were. On Android, check that battery optimisation is off for Daily Life (the app shows the setting for your phone brand). On iPhone, make sure Location is set to Always.

Does it drain the battery?
GPS is used only while you are moving; when you stay somewhere the app relies on low-power signals. Typical use is a few percent a day.

Where is my data?
Only on your phone, encrypted. There is no account and no Daily Life server. See the privacy policy.

Why are there ads on iPhone?
Ads keep the iPhone app free. They never receive your timeline, places or health data. You can change ad privacy choices in Settings & privacy.

How do I delete my data?
Settings & privacy → Delete a day, Delete a period, or Delete everything. Uninstalling the app also removes all its data.
